2022 in Review
Highlights from my year
2022 was a pivotal year for me. I started the year not anticipating any of the things that happened.
In January I decided that I was going to move forward with publishing my first book. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I just determined that I was going to do it.
The end product? “Always Improving: Lessons from the samurai”. I am proud of that piece of work for a lot of reasons.
- It allowed me to process through emotions and my past
- The people that have read it and commented to me have seen themselves in some of the stories and can relate to my journey
- I’ve had 4 podcast interviews released so far this year with a few more recorded and scheduled to be released soon
- It has pivoted my identity and I now consider myself to be a writer

I have been journaling for about 10 years now, ever since I went to therapy for the first time. It has been helpful for me to get my thoughts out of my head and onto literal paper. I like to use paper journals.
